What is Alcohol on Motor Vehicles on Journey to Sporting Event?
This offence occurs when:
A person has alcohol in their possession on a motor vehicle (Section 1A(3)).
A person is drunk on a motor vehicle (Section 1A(4)).
The driver or registered keeper knowingly permits alcohol to be carried on the motor vehicle when the principal purpose is to transport two or more passengers to or from a designated sporting event (Section 1A(2)).

Maximum penalties:
Section 1A(2): Level 4 Fine.
Section 1A(4): Level 2 Fine.
Section 1A(3): Level 3 Fine or 3 months imprisonment.
